1. What HeyLive provides
HeyLive.chat is a live-chat platform you embed on your website to talk with your visitors in real time. The service includes an admin dashboard, an agent inbox, an embeddable widget, a ticket history view for visitors, and supporting features (ratings, quick replies, file uploads, retention policies).
We're currently in public beta. Features may change, break, or be added without notice while we iterate.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping that Google account secure. You may not share your account with others outside your team — each agent who needs access should be invited as their own user from your workspace's Team page.
Workspace owners (admins) are responsible for the conduct of agents they invite and for the content visitors send through their widget.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use HeyLive.chat to:
- Host or facilitate illegal content (CSAM, fraud, doxxing, threats)
- Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk messages through the widget
- Resell HeyLive's services as your own without written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the platform, bypass rate limits, or scrape conversations from workspaces you don't own
- Impersonate another business or individual
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Niches like gaming, money-game, affiliate, lead-gen, and adult content are allowed when they comply with local law; the rules above are about conduct, not category.
4. Availability and performance
We aim for high uptime but we don't guarantee any specific SLA during the beta. Schedule downtime and incidents will be reported on our status page (coming soon). The service is provided “as is” with no warranty.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you and your visitors send through HeyLive — messages, screenshots, ratings. We only process that data to deliver the service, and we delete it on the schedule described in our Data retention policy.
6. Pricing
HeyLive is free during beta. When we introduce paid plans, you'll receive at least 30 days' notice and your current free usage will continue under a generous free tier indefinitely.
7. Termination
You can stop using HeyLive at any time by deleting your account (account deletion ships with billing). We may terminate your access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that puts other customers at risk.
On account deletion, your workspace data is removed within 30 days. Visitor data is removed on the standard 14-day retention schedule regardless.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, HeyLive's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which during beta is zero.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and via email. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.
10. Contact
